SOLFATARA (temporarily closed)

Visit lasting approximately 2 hours to discover the most interesting volcano of the Campi Flegrei with a large crater that after two millennia of activity, still today gurgles with underground fire, emitting puffs of sulfur, jets of boiling mud and fumaroles that reach temperatures of 162 degrees.

PUTEOLI AND ITS VOLCANO

Half a day dedicated to visiting the Solfatara volcano, a volcano that after two millennia of activity still bubbles with underground fire, and Pozzuoli, the ancient Puteoli with its Roman amphitheatre and its Serapeum, testimony to the volcanic phenomenon of bradyseism.

DISCOVERING PHLEGRAEAN FIELDS

A full day dedicated to discovering the volcanic phenomena of the Phlegraean area, with a special focus on the Solfatara volcano, the lakes, and the Roman remains of Pozzuoli.
The Phlegraean Fields are a volcanic area in which numerous different eruptive centers have been active over the past 39,000 years.

IN SEARCH OF OUR ORIGINS

Full day dedicated to the panoramic tour of the volcanic area of Campi Flegrei, a volcanic field within which, in the last 39,000 years, numerous different eruptive centers have been active and visit to the archaeological area of Cuma, the oldest Greek colony in the West, its large temples of Apollo and Jupiter, transformed into churches in the Middle Ages, preserve Greek, Samnite, Roman and early Christian testimonies.
